Dear Friends,
How many Congregants does it take to feed 275 people??? It takes 55 of us - - - - - - yeah - - that's right --- 55!!! That's how
many of us worked on Sunday, January 31st to make the Potters Bowl happen. We are quite a team!!!
At 9:00 a.m. the first wave of members began moving tables, cutting table covers -- putting out flatware -- doing center pieces.
By 1:00 p.m. the fruit cutters were at work -- 23 pineapples, 23 cantaloupes, grapes, kiwis, strawberries -- all washed, cut and
arranged. Dessert and bread cutters were in place by 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. Kitchen staff in place by 3:00 p.m. Wait staff were there
by 4:30 - 5:00 p.m.
Carrol Lourie's organizational skills really came into play -- and while Roger Schlossberg's auctioneering talents were sorely
missed this year -- Dan Greenwald stepped in to fill Roger’s shoes and did a whopping good job at raising beaucoup bucks
for the auction items.
Donna Louzon, our office administrator, came early and stayed late to keep all the money straight. And we really did raise more
money this year than we did last year
$17,600 for the Free Clinic!!!
