Religious School

We began April with a wonderful family Shabbat dinner and service.  Stacie and Julie’s class shared what they have learned and sang the Alef-Bet song!  It was great!

Our final Wednesday night Hebrew class will meet on April 30, and our final Sunday school session will be on May 4.  On that day, we will hold a school wide assembly and then dismiss the students at 11:30am so that everyone can head over to Black Rock Regional Park on Mt. Aetna Road for food, fun and games!  Let’s hope for wonderful weather!

And as our school year comes to a close, there are so many people to thank.  Our teachers: Stacie Noll, Julie Whitener, Judy Fishkin, Ruth Seidman, Laura Newberry, Holly Rubinstein, Doug Becker, Raymond Feliciano, Rabbi Raskind, Betsy Rosenthal and Lieba Cohen.  A special thank you to Sybil Schiffman, who helped with Hebrew and music.  And of course, all of the parents that have chaired or served on committees this past year.   It really takes all of us to make the school a success!

And finally, as we prepare for next year, (Yes, we are already doing that!!) please remember that WE NEED YOU!!  This year we had more than one teacher for each group of students, and we would like to do that again next year.  We also need people to teach Hebrew and to coordinate our special events.  If you have any questions or would like to discuss the possibility of helping out, please call me!  Sheryl Greenwald and her team will need the support of all of our parents!  Please consider what way you will be involved in keeping our Religious School a success!
